Maintenance Planner

Main Purpose:

To ensure that Maintenance for all PUMA ENERGY facilities (i.e. refinery, retail, commercial and aviation sites) is performed using a fully planned Work Order

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and scheduling of maintenance activities – routine preventative, corrective, predictive and shutdown works.

Issuing fully planned Work Orders to fitters, technicians or contractors

Inspect and confirm the veracity of the maintenance works

Assist the Maintenance Manager develop and update the Asset Register as required.

Supervise and ensure efficient utilisation of technicians/fitters (via Leading Hands or supervisors where appropriate).

Attendance at Weekly Planning Meetings and chairing the meeting as delegated by the Maintenance Manager.

Comply with company requirements and systems relating to SAPS, HSEC & Quality and other company policies.

Any other duties as directed by the Lead Planner and/or Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Technical qualifications at tertiary level or significant engineering/engineering management experience

• Minimum 1 year experience or exposure on either mechanical or electrical field work is preferred

• Relevant experience in planning or supervisory role

• Good understanding of petrochemical plant and equipment

Skills:

• Good IT skills - MS Word, Excel and Outlook

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to subordinates, peers and superiors

• Ability to apply situational leadership

• Good time management skills and an ability to priorities multiple tasks

• Ability to adhere to deadlines

Key Relationships and Department Overview:

Internal – Customer Service Representatives, Engineers, HSE Manager, Maintenance Supervisors, lead technicians, department managers/supervisors
