Assistant Routing & Dispatch Manager

G.I. JOHNS is looking to hire a full-time Routing & Dispatch Manager at their Manassas Park, VA location. This is a key management role leading the day-to-day operations of a rapidly growing portable sanitation company that takes pride in doing things the right way and executing on the impossible.

Owned by Marine Corps veterans, we have a dynamic team of technicians, operations and maintenance staff that hold the highest standard of performance, integrity and customer service. We provide portable sanitation solutions around the Northern Virginia, Southern Maryland, and Washington D.C. area. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Monitor the email inbox to ensure 100% response rate to inbound inquiries. During normal business hours (0700-1600) the expectation is max 1hr turnaround. During non-business hours inquiries must be responded to before the next day's AM Report.

Ensure all new orders are clarified and confirmed (with the customer), entered into our system for jobs (drop-off, servicing and pickup), appropriately invoiced, routed and quantified.

Serve as the initial point of escalation among the routing and dispatch team with regards to all manner of concerns internal and external.

Supervise the daily and weekly service route setup and organization. Ensure all last minute/emergency adjustments are reflected and deconflicted.

Manage the quality of "data-in" to our enterprise service system (today: ServiceCore). Ensure we have accurate site, administration, and billing points of contact for all customers' sites.

Ensure the overall success and efficacy of our routing and dispatch team, its members and their professional development.

Supervise the conduct and professionalism of the dispatch team including adherence to company policies.

Ensure any orders, special requests, special events and other non-standard incidents are deconflicted with the Operations Officer prior to execution or commitment to execution.

Organize and oversee emergency response activities as it relates to our service drivers'. This includes but is not limited to, notification of upper management, ensuring proper driver action and liaising with law enforcement.

Demand constant efficiency maximization of routing and drivers, ensure constant revision with the engagement of Routing Lead and Operations Officer.

Ensure that there is a member of the dispatch team present and "manning the con" from 0500-1800 each business day to support our drivers in the field and our inbound customer emergencies and during other windows as requested by management.

Routinely inform ownership of key technology gaps, opportunities, issues and ideas to improve standard operating procedures.
