The Control room Operator for the Lithium Line is responsible for monitoring and operating equipment through the PLC system to complete the process of recycling lithium batteries while ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity and is properly maintained.

The control room operator should have experience in the field to allow for troubleshooting assistance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.

Daily set up of equipment for operation.

Operate equipment according to SOPs.

Conduct routine rounds and operations tasks including logging information for EHS requirements.

Monitor all equipment controlled by the PLC (Shredding and milling, utilities, wastewater, distillation, distillation unloading, and other plant systems).

Monitor and record any deviations of operating parameters or any environmental non-compliances.

Work with team members to communicate assistance and additional resources to the supervisor.

Monitor and make adjustments to equipment when necessary to improve performance.

Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations.

Clean Equipment and maintain cleanliness in the work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Frequently lift 10-40 pounds individually, and over 40 pounds with a team member.

Forklift experience.

Knowledge of machinery and tools.

Understanding of operating procedures.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Attention to detail.

Teamwork and communication skills.

Able to learn to operate an HMI screen with PLC controls.

Lockout/Tagout experience.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GEDPLC

Experience

2 years Control Room Operator Experience
