Radiation Therapist 2 PRN

Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking Radiation Therapist 2 to join the team.

This position PRN working varied schedules/shifts as need.

Requirements for consideration: * Associate degree or Certification * Two years as a Staff Therapist in a Radiation Therapy Department and GE simulator equipment with minimal supervision.

* American Registered Radiologic Technologist certification required upon start.

* Basic Life Support required upon start.

Job Responsibilities: * The Radiation Therapist 2 communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, supervisors and outside contacts.

* Responsible for treatment modalities and protocols to accurately set-up and administer radiation treatments on a daily basis.

* Performs simulation procedures for initial patient set-up while verifying proper functioning of linear accelerators, simulators and Computed Tomography machines.

* Performs other duties as assigned.
