Job Description Summary: To competently interpret the patients' history and baseline level of function and then to complete an assessment appropriate to the patients areas of deficits.

Based on problems identified, the speech language pathologist establishes and carries out a plan of care to include patient treatment and reassessment, patient/family instruction, discharge planning, documentation in the medical record and communication with physicians and other medical staff.

This position helps patients achieve maximum functional outcomes.

Acts as a clinical instructor for students and actively participates in department functions.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree: Speech PathologyLIC - Licensed in Field - State of Ohio EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE MS/MA in Speech Pathology.

Licensed in the State of Ohio.

Certificate of Clinical Competence.

CPR certification that is recognized by the American Heart Association.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Basic computer skills.

KIND and LENGTH of EXPERIENCE Clinical experience preferred.

Entry-level new graduate and CFY candidates will be considered.
