Job Title: Massage Therapist Cost Center: 351011118 BDHos-Home Health Scheduled Weekly Hours: 25 Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: Variable (United States of America) Job Description: JOB SUMMARY The Massage Therapist treats patients with massage therapy using touch in order to manipulate the soft body tissues to increase the health and well-being of each patient.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1.

Provides patient with a proposed treatment plan that specifies which types of massage are to be used.

2.

Provides patient with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement, and stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercises.

3.

Performs massage techniques on patient.

4.

Documents treatment given to patient.

5.

Regular attendance is required in order to carry out the essential functions of the position.

6.

Reviews and meets ongoing competency requirements of the role to maintain the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform, within scope, role specific functions.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES 1.

Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Completion of accredited massage therapy program.

Preferred/Optional: None EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: One year practicing as massage therapist.

Preferred/Optional: None CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.

Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
