Join us as Drainage Department Manager in our Petone office. This role offers diversity, challenge, and an ability to make your mark. You will have a strong focus on people leadership and development, managing key stakeholder relationships, and have operational and financial accountability.
You will lead from the front and oversee daily management including survey, set outs, client communication\relations, subcontractor control, claims, variations and quality assurance documentation.
In addition to the above you will:
Ensure reports, claims and programmes are prepared and submitted correctly and in a timely manner
Ensure forward planning, organising and ordering of contract subbies/ survey/ materials/ plant/ people
Ensure your department staff are provided with leadership and guidance to maximise performance
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and other key stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering with a minimum 5 years’ experience in the 3 waters infrastructure
Experience managing and developing teams (preferred)
Experience in local council water reticulation renewals.
Relevant water reticulation qualification (preferred but not essential)
Relevant experience in managing HSE risk associated with drainage work.
