All applicants must apply online Job Title: Secretary Reports To: Principal/Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.

QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or equivalent.

* Three (3) years of clerical experience.

* Pleasant telephone and interpersonal skills.

* Good clerical skills, including but not limited to typing, filing, and organizing.

* Maintains confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive smoothly run office.

* Receives and routes all incoming calls.

* Maintains logs for use of district vehicles.

* Greets visitors to campus.

* Acts as liaison between schools and central office.

* Disseminates material to Central Office personnel.

* Disseminates mail to Central Office Staff.

* Maintains/Updates Central Office rosters.

* Orders office supplies when needed.

* Performs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position.

* Prepares reports for the principal as shall be required.

* Performs any assigned duties from Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent.

* First in line to answer the telephone for incoming calls.

Transfer calls or take messages.

* Make copies and distribute materials.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
