Provides program coordination and collaboration with patients and families, clinical staff, interdepartmental entities and outside vendors and community resources. Responsible for maintaining and communicating daily department account activity, daily census, and other program data collection. Assist interdisciplinary treatment team with linking patients to appropriate community resources.

Responsibilities

1. Assumes personal responsibility for maintaining professional development and practice, any certification or credentialing, and education, as required.2. Assist clinical staff by maintaining daily census sheet and monitoring clinician signature and documentation for billing purposes and by ensuring accurate charge activity on a daily bases. Assist clinical staff by initiating FMLA and Disability papers and by making follow up appointments and other discharge task.3. Coordinates patient needs with program components, other departments and community resources; Coordinates with Transportation, Dietary, Access, Medical Records, Financial Advocates, community resources and other program providers to meet patient needs.4. Maintains departmental files/records: Processes reports and requisitions for services. Demonstrates efficient computer skills to file and retrieve data and produce all documents required. Produces departmental reports on key operating statistics. Collects, analyzes and reports requested program data.5. Provides patient orientation to the program: Meets with all patients either individual or in a group to orientate them to treatment program, parking, confidentiality policy, meals provided, absent and late call in policy, patient satisfaction survey information and other program components.6. Maintains Program Stock: Maintains unit stock by consistently inventory and proactive ordering with safe storage, which meets JC requirements.7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education Certification:

-High School Diploma or GED

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

-Knowledge of medical/psychiatric and billing terminology, required.

-Proficient with Windows based software including Sovera, Excel, Outlook, and Meditech; including Modules; ABS, PCI, ADM, NUR, B/AR, SCH, OE.

-Able to complete Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training and perform SCM techniques required.

Preferred:

-Data Entry experience, preferred.

-Experience in Mental Health field and knowledge of community resources, preferred.
