Orchard Machinery and Spraying Operator

Our Horticulture team is critical to our ability to achieve our core purpose. We offer our talented Orchard Machinery and Spraying Operator's between $28 and $34 per hour depending on experience, along with minimum 30 hours work per week, health insurance, life insurance, and a fantastic team culture. As an Orchard Machinery and Spraying Operator, you will be an integral senior member of the Te Teko orchard team, responsible for ensuring the maintenance and safe operation of all on-orchard machinery and related activities.

Operation and maintenance of all on orchard machinery

Maintenance of all on orchard structures

Operation and maintenance of orchard vehicles

Operation, and maintenance of agrichemical spray applicator

Ensuring the safe use of orchard machinery, vehicles, structures, and crop spray applicators throughout the orchard

Any other duty that is reasonably expected in the production of kiwifruit crop and the maintenance of orchards. To be successful in the role you will need: -

Demonstrable tractor driving capability

Demonstrable capability to measure and apply agrichemicals

Current Class 4 (Heavy Rigid Vehicle) or 5 (Heavy Combination Vehicle) license.

Current Forklift license

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and unsociable hours if the weather conditions require.

At least two years farm or orchard maintenance experience All offers are subject to a pre employment medical check and, drug & alcohol test. As this is a safety critical role you will also be subject to random drug & alcohol testing in line with the Trinity Lands Drug & Alcohol policy.
