IT Manager

Our client is looking for IT MANAGER located in Metro Detroit

SUMMARY

Our client is has an immediate need for a highly successful, well-respected IT Manager. This position will administer and support our current networking and infrastructure to ensure current service levels are met. They will provide integrated and reliable IT systems and services internally through service providers to ensure smooth operation and development of the business. In addition, the position is encouraged to identify and implement new processes and technologies that will support the company s long-term operational and strategic goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all IT systems are maintained utilizing best management practices.

Maintain IT infrastructure in line with IT guidelines and company's policies and procedures.

Ensure the IT system is robust and secure from internal and external attack and that data sharing and remote access is secure.

Maintain an accurate inventory of all networking infrastructure (e.g. Servers, switches, SANs, IP address ranges, etc).

Continuously test and update IT Disaster Recovery plan.

Work with business users to continually improve our IT systems and infrastructure.

Fully map the current software landscape and assist with development of future landscape taking into account strategic business needs.

Maintain and store sensitive and confidential employee information in compliance with GDPR.

Manage and coach IT Coordinator.

Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support.

Develop, monitor, and improve IT KPIs.

Some out of hours working may be required.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Educated to degree or equivalent level in a computing or relative discipline

Minimum 2 years of network and support experience

Minimum 2 years of experience configuring, installing, and repairing networking hardware

Minimum 2 years of experience supporting end users in a call center or helpdesk environment

Proficient with Windows 7/10/2008/2012/2016 Workstation and Server operating systems

Competent in Microsoft Office 2010 and 365

Proficient with virtual infrastructure technologies (e.g. VMware, Microsoft Azure, etc).

Proficient in network communications equipment (switches, routers, wireless access points), IP routing and configuration of routers, subnets, VLANs
