Job Description
At Copperweld, we strive for world-class operational excellence in manufacturing wire. The Continuous Improvement Co-op position will work with the Copperweld Production Systems team supporting our Lean journey. Major projects will include creating guidelines and standard training material – literature and videos – to sustain the deployment of CPS including Lean Methods and Management. Holding Kaizen activities implementing PDCAs, and cross-functional projects for improvement will also be an integral part of this position.
Responsibilities:
•Work on CPS communication and tools standardization
•Develop CPS weekly tips for team meetings
•Collaborate with Operations Leadership to coordinate lean
•Present to peers, management, and senior leaders within the organization
•Design and develop training and promotion materials to promote lean culture, Lean tools (5S, 7 Wastes, Safety pyramid, etc.), Safety Management, Ideas, SOP/SOS, audits, 4 M & OT boards, and various other best practice topics
•Other duties as assigned
Feedback: Written Performance Reviews will be given at the end of each semester.

Requirements:
Applicant must have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative
GPA and be actively enrolled and pursuing related
major i.e. Manufacturing, Logistics, or Engineering at an accredited institution.
Sophomore status achievement required, Junior+ status preferred. Co-ops must work a minimum average of 30 hours per week during the semester
