We are seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join the Bunnings Finance Team.

About the role:

We are currently looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our high performing and collaborative Finance team. You will support the team with financial reporting on business KPI’s and financial metrics which in turn supports the business’ latest strategic agenda utilising reporting tooling such as PowerBI, TM1 and Microsoft Office suite to make informed decisions.

You will additionally provide clear and consistent insights into business performance towards delivering the strategic agenda across all levels of leadership in a timely and accurate manner.

What's involved:

Provide support for month end processes, collate, and gather data to produce meaningful and insightful reporting for a wide range of stakeholders.

Ensure high quality, timely, accurate and relevant weekly and monthly and periodic information (financial, commercial, and statistical) for all key stakeholders, ensuring they have a strong understanding of performance and future trajectory

Assist with the compiling management packs and collating data for senior leadership teams.

Provide support for commercial finance functions with reporting and dashboarding needs.

Liaise with key stakeholders and team members providing advice, financial and sales data, updates and feedback as required.

Who we’re looking for:

Our ideal candidate will come from an Accounting background and have a strong understanding of accounting and budgeting principals, with a keen interest in visualising data to provide insights through the use of PowerBI tooling.

You’ll be commercially savvy, being able to use your knowledge to influence and add both strategic and operational value across the business. You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, so it is important that you are confident in your communications and have strong interpersonal skills & have a customer service-oriented & innovative in your approach to your work.

In this role, you will often be operating against multiple competing priorities therefore effective time management and prior experience working in a fast-paced function will also be key.

You’ll need:

A commerce or business degree with relevant accounting and finance majors

Completion or working towards CPA or CA

1-2 years working in a fast-paced finance or accounting function preferably in the retail industry

Experience with Management accounting or reporting.

Proficient computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TM1, Access, Oracle, PowerBI)

Commercial acumen and strong analytical skills

Proven ability to work under pressure, to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
