Data Scientist

Bank ABC seeks to recruit a Data Scientist to join the Group Innovation Department.

The Data Scientist will build AI and data analytics products using different new and existing techniques to extract valuable insights and deliver value through innovative solutions across different business lines. The job holder to support the Bank ABC Innovation Program activities as well.

Scope of the Job

Analyze large amounts of internal and external data to help in solving problems and challenges.

Support in creating AI and Data governance.

Implement prototypes to quickly demonstrate value or insights from specific data sets or AI initiatives.

Support promoting the safe use of AI and Data Analytics in the bank including through awareness sessions and workshops.

Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.

Undertake preprocessing and transformation of structured and unstructured data.

Perform ad-hoc data analytics on different sets, types and sizes of data.

Build, adopt or tune predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.

Combine models through ensemble modeling.

Present complex information using data visualization techniques.

Propose and implement solutions and strategies to business challenges utilizing data and analytics.

Collaborate with different teams to find innovate ways to utilise data to add business value.

Work with different stakeholder to support improving data architecture and enterprise analytics platforms.

Support the activities of the Group Innovation Lab and Innovation Framework.

Support the implementation of AI, Machine Learning and intelligent automation (e.g. RPA) related POCs, pilots and rollouts.Areas of Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

Masters/bachelor’s in computer science, Statistics or other relevant disciplines; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative fields is preferred

Any certifications in data and analytics from public-cloud providers

Minimum of 7 years’ experience working as a data scientist in banking or related fields

Programming and scripting experience including using query languages

Experience in data mining

Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools

Strong record of deploying data solutions and obtaining value from data
