Main Purpose:

Technical support, installation and commissioning of hardware, software, processes and support systems relevant to the operations of Fuel Management Systems (FMS) as they relate to retail, commercial and operations applications. Provide Retail IT/FMS support to Retail & B2B sites in Lae, including Momase & Highlands regions. Provide supplementary IT support cover where needed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

1 Delivering sound, fit for purpose fuel management systems that meet business needs and financial criteria. Prime importance and focus on HSEC.

2 Developing optimal solutions that enhance the company’s overall competitiveness in regards to lowering operating costs and optimizing capital required.

3 Working with clients in a professional and ethical way to provide technical advice in the best interests of the business

4 Exploring any opportunity to add value to the organization by employing new technologies and methodologies to further enhance the company’s competitive situation

5 Take ownership of fuel management systems activities and to ensure maintenance and operation of fuel management systems at retail, commercial and operational sites are managed effectively and efficiently. Ongoing day-to-day support, installation, commissioning and maintenance tasks of Fuel Management Systems (FMS) as they relate to retail, commercial and operations applications under the direction of the FMS Manager or his delegate. Designing and implementing assessment programs for FMS

6 Dealer and Site operator training of all skill requirements across the operation of the system to ensure competence in use of the FMS

7 Maintaining training and operator FMS manuals

8 Spares Management of system hardware components of FMS

9 Comply with company requirements and systems relating to SAPS, HSEC & Quality and other company policies.

10 Other activities as directed by the IS Coordinator

Key Relationships and Department Overview:

Internal – Retail Manager, Engineering, HSEC Manager, Maintenance, IT FMS Support, Functions Heads, Commercial, Finance.

External – Suppliers and contractors, Utilities and Local Body’s, Professional Bodies, Customer sites and facilities, Service station operators.
