The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and reconfiguring existing processes to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and establish best practices within the production environment. Key Accountabilities
Analyse current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement.
Design and implement new processes, equipment, and systems to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Work closely with the Continuous Improvement Manager to develop and execute project plans for process optimisation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure seamless implementation of process changes.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed changes to manufacturing processes to ensure financial viability.
Develop and implement strategies to improve sustainability practices within manufacturing operations.
Utilise Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive process optimization.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on process evaluation and improvement initiatives for senior management.
Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in food manufacturing and process engineering.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
Skills and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in process engineering within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems, including automation and process control.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to sustainability and environmental practices.
Ideally proficient in the use of CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
