Provides fire inspection services within assigned area of responsibility. Inspects fire protection devices,
systems and procedures to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable standards and
requirements. Plans, schedules, and conducts training programs for all functional areas of the
Fire/Security Section. Maintains training reference files, directives, office instructions, lesson plans,
training aids, and training records. Responds to emergencies, evaluates operational procedures, acts as
safety officer, assists with rescue, fire suppression and overhaul when directed. May function as a
firefighter to supplement existing personnel when required.

Basic Job Requirements
High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and
four (4) years to seven (7) years related experience. Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical
ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior contingency or military experience preferred,
