General Description

SECOND SHIFT 2PM - 10:30PM, M-F

Duties and Responsibilities

Engages in operating a variety of machines to manufacture products by performing the following duties

Feeding material into machinery via operation of forklift.

Stage material feed stock.

Monitoring material traveling on the conveyor belt for quality and non-conforming material (rotational duty).

Operation of machinery.

Constant cleaning of conveyor belt.

Constant cleaning of screen sifting unit.

Adjust feed rates to accommodate specified goals.

Identify mechanical issues and report to supervisor.

Utilization of scooping tools, shovels, tampering tools, and other hand tools.

Empty bag house collections as needed.

Change out filled finished product containers via operation of forklift.

Shut down partial line to perform.

Utilizing identification number, weigh, and time stamp tagging method.

Build empty finished product containers as needed.

Assist in maintenance as needed.

Assisting maintenance personnel in preventative maintenance of light and heavy machinery used for processing.

Assisting maintenance personnel in unexpected maintenance of light and heavy machinery used for processing.

Keep work area clean.

Ability to work well with others.

All other duties as assigned

Mandatory use of PPE including the following protection:

Respiratory in specified areas

Uniforms kept onsite, laundered offsite

Gloves

Hard-shell, hard-toe footwear

Eye

Qualifications

Ability to perform, read, and comprehend job instructions and safety documentation.

Ability to read measuring devices.

Basic analytical and decision-making skills.

Basic communication and listening skills.

Forklift experience.

Identifying non-conforming product.

Knowledge of tools and mechanical experience

Must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time to perform assigned job activities.

Must be mechanically inclined.

Must be able to pass physical and fit testing for respiratory protection.

Medical devices affected by magnetic fields may be at potential risk

Education and Training Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.

Warehouse and forklift experience of at least 6 months.

Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English as well as follow written and oral directions given in English.

2:30PM - 11:00PM M-F

Must be able to train 1 week on Days 7:30am - 4:00 pm
