Sr Network Engineer

Role: Sr Network Engineer

Location: Washington, D.C (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Background:

We are seeking a very experienced senior Network Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience to provide support to our client's enterprise-grade routers and switches in a large data center environment. Highly experienced in supporting and configuring the following technologies:

• BGP, OSPF, STP in NXOS and IOSXE platforms

• Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting and troubleshooting large data center networks

• Experience with Cisco Nexus switches (9K, 7K, etc) and Cisco Catalyst switches and routers

• Certifications in Networking, CISCO, etc., are required

• XVLAN, Wireless and AWS networking expertise are pluses

This highly experienced Network Engineer shall deliver the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Assist the networking team with daily operations and ongoing projects, including troubleshooting routing and switching issues, developing new designs, managing maintenance windows, and handling any other tasks as required

• Extensive expertise in BGP and OSPF, traffic engineering, route optimization, and failover scenarios.

Basic Requirements:

The best candidate will have a bachelor's of science degree in Computer Sciences or related fields or the equivalent in experience with a minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.
