Overview:

Hiring for Architectual/Engineering Intern: Data Analysis and Drafting Intern

This internship is open to current students (Junior/Senior) attending college/university interested in a long-term internship. Ideally the student will work part time during the school year (based on their school schedule) and full time for the summer and work as an intern until they graduate.

The internship is located in Peoria, IL and the student must be able to work in Peoria, IL.

Monday-Friday; 30-40 hours week; when scheduled to work will work 8 hour day between hours of 7:00am-5:00pm

Some site visits will be required, daytime only, 2-4 per month

Starting pay for this position is $17.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY: The intern is required to perform the following tasks under the direction of a manger or director in the Facilities Operation and Planning (FO&P) Division -- works closely with current staff to assist with data management, analysis, and graphical representations; drafting support, field studies and other initiatives as directed by the Manager.

Support Facilities team with identification, understanding, and implementation of data. Organizes and maintains an electronic library for easy retrieval and reference of drawings and relevant data to be used for facilities base plans, area plans, life safety drawings and general facilities administration.

Collect, organize, and chart data for the CMMS, Survey audits and floorplan review.

Support field survey visits by capturing notes and providing feedback to the drafting team.

Begin drawings for base plans of OSF buildings utilizing CAD and Revit.

Utilize software platforms, such as Power BI, for data analytics and building data dashboards for large data sets related to aspects of Facilities operations. Develop clear, easy-to-understand short summaries and graphic representations of project results.

Review drawings and/or travel to OSF locations to obtain information relevant to project work.

Assist with implementation of drawings and standards as well as organization of data as directed manager in alignment with Ministry and program goals and priorities.

Positively impacts, through design and technical solutions, the healing environment and well-being of the patient, while supporting staff, physicians, administrators and the OSF Mission of the Sisters.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a student currently enrolled as a junior or senior at a college/university pursuing Bachelor Degree with an emphasis in a technical field, including but not limited to mechanical or electrical engineering, data science, data analytics, physics, and environmental science.

* Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel primarily.

* Working knowledge of drawing standards, AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to learn and support basic drawings from documents. Willingness to learn field studies.

* Working knowledge of drafting tools, surveying/measuring instruments, and drawing reproduction equipment.

* Good time management skills in order to set priorities in work, critically think through and analyze different types of data and develop reports on data gathered.

* Written and oral presentation skills; very organized; works independently and as part of a team on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to negotiate and integrate opposing points of view in a professional manner.

* Good communication skills.

* Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, with good organizational skills and judgment.

* Develops and maintains positive working relationships.

* Basic understanding of/and compliance of office procedures and time management goals for projects and tasks.
