The Financial Analyst of FP&A will report to the Sr Director of FP&A and be responsible for partnering with members within Finance and across the organization to help provide valuable insights and fuel data-driven decision making. This position is responsible for preparing budgets and rolling forecasts, business cases, financial reporting (including headcount and operating expenses), and will also perform detailed ad hoc analysis.

We are seeking a dynamic self-starter with a “Can-Do” attitude that excels in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This person will join the FP&A team to provide financial support, analysis, and insights into the Mercalis business units and other Operations and Overhead departments. This person will look to build partnerships and trust by showing skills such as integrity, relationship building, work ethic, analytical approach, and a roll-up your sleeves mentality.

Responsibilities:

Partner with teams both inside and outside of Finance and provide valuable insights for making data-driven decisions.

Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, identifying trends and assisting with consolidated/company-wide financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Engage with departments for annual budgeting and variance analysis; monitor adherence to approved budget and other financial metrics.

Provide accurate and timely financial analysis to track business performance, perform gross margin analysis, and perform ad-hoc analyses as required.

Assist with GAAP financial reporting, monthly Board reporting, and related analysis.

Strong orientation towards process improvement - identifying and implementing process weaknesses and suggesting improvements to the current workflows.

Qualifications:

3 plus years of experience.

Strong FP&A experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university. CPA or MBA preferred but not required.

Strong MS Office suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills (extremely strong Excel skills required).

Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques is a plus (e.g., PowerBI).

Dynamic personality with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new and changing environments.

Independent and action driven with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Proven experience building and working with complex financial models with large amounts of data and variables.

Solid understanding of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows.

Ability to comprehend and process large amounts of data and summarize into a digestible format.

Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Logical, efficient, and creative, with a keen attention to detail.

Knowledge of NetSuite preferred but not required.
