What you will be doing:

The Sales Engineer position is a combination of technical design knowledge and sales skills. This position concentrates heavily on sales, project design, and quoting. Its main purpose is designing and quoting projects for the customers serviced by the PMO office.

Our ideal candidate has:

System design using industry knowledge on medium to complex implementations.

and answer RFPs on medium to complex electronic security projects within specified timeframe.

quotes and bid documents for consultants and customers

of scope of work, device schedules, sequence of operations documents as requested.

PMO program managers with complex solutions and designs.

design support, guidance, and instruction on implementation of integrated systems and solutions.

stay and travel while performing duties at remote project locations and job training when required.

new technology evaluations and tests.

to offer and identify value add propositions.

Program managers with system assessments, design and quotes as needed.

procedures to reduce quote turnaround times.

knowledge of system design, field devices and applications.

to create scope of work documents and sequence of operation documents

communication skills including the ability to follow procedures, document questions, and determine unstated assumptions

understanding of installation methods, best practices, and procedures.

understanding of Building code, Life Safety code, and NEC.

of programming capabilities and how it relates to system design.

to read and understand specifications, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

of electronic security technology, installation methods and system design.

of all platforms installed and serviced by the company.

Genetec, RS2, AMAG, Feenics, S2, OpenEye, Avigilon, Exacqvision, Stentofon, 2N, and Bosch intrusion.

Additional information:

Full-time position

Onsite in either Richmond, Virginia or Lynchburg, Virginia

Annual Salary: 75k in addition to a commission plan

You will be eligible to enroll in Health Insurance Program (Aetna National via Paychex Oasis) on the 1st of the month following your 30-day probationary period. Our client has a cafeteria style program with multiple healthcare plan options available. Our partner provides $25,000 term life insurance, long-term disability, and short-term disability at no cost to all full-time employees.

We provides each full-time employee with the option to select the benefit options they desire from healthcare insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, term life insurance, and accident insurance.

You will be eligible to participate in the company 401K plan on the first full quarter after 90 days. The match is dollar for dollar up to the first 3% and $.50 on the dollar for the next 2%. You will be eligible to transfer any existing 401K funds into the company plan immediately and then manage the funds yourself.

Vacation time is provided for each full-time employee. You are eligible to receive 13 days of PTO annually which will accrue at a rate of 12 hours per month. You will receive seven (7) paid holidays to include: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

A cell phone and company laptop will be provided.
