Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled UAS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess operational experience with Group 1 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS), hold a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, have the ability to obtain or already possess a Secret clearance, and demonstrate a strong background in instruction and training.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a subject matter expert on UAS operations, regulations, and best practices.

Develop and deliver high-quality training programs and materials related to UAS operations, safety, and compliance.

Provide guidance and support to internal teams and clients on UAS mission planning, execution, and risk management.

Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the field of unmanned aviation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and workshops as needed.

Integrate with the fires cell and give advice on implementing loitering munitions, and other launched effects.

Requirements:

Operational experience with Group 1 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS).

US Army SUAS Master Trainer or equivalent DoD standard.

Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Ability to obtain or already possess a Secret clearance.

Strong background in instruction and training, preferably in the field of unmanned aviation.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to travel up to 50% or more.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with military or government agencies.

Additional certifications or qualifications related to unmanned aviation.
