High School Sales Associate (Part-Time)

Great first job opportunity for a high school student who would enjoy working in a bakery environment. We would love for you to join our Bethel Bakery Family in delivering the ultimate customer experience to every customer in our North Strabane store.

Responsibilities

Providing engaging, friendly and helpful customer service to our customers.

Learning our bakery products, ingredients, prices, and packaging, in order to answer questions and make suggestions to customers.

Ensuring the bakery display cases and shelves are well stocked.

Assisting in completing opening and closing duties.

Maintaining a clean sales area (cases, workstations, equipment, etc.).

Utilizing the point of sale (POS) system; performing all cash functions and exchanges, following proper cash and credit card handling procedures.

Once trained, writing messages with icing on cakes.

Qualifications

Customer focused, with strong interpersonal communication and math skills to process customer orders.

Ability to work as a team player.

Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.

Attention to detail and presentation.

Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, which include, but are not limited to, speaking, hearing, standing for the duration of your shift, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, kneeling, crouching, and squeezing pastry bags.

Additional Information

No previous experience necessary, willing to train!

If under 18 years of age, you will need to obtain a work permit that authorizes you to work.

Will be required to wear slip resistant shoes during your shift.

Compensation & Hours

Starting hourly rate is $11/hour.

PART-TIME; 18-28 HOURS/WEEK

Weekday shifts will start between 3:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. through 6:30 p.m. and up to 8 hours on Saturdays; must be available to work on Fridays and Saturdays; some restrictions apply for minors under 18.

No late nights! Closed Sundays and on major holidays, which include New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.

Must be available to work on All Hands on Deck Days.
