Principal Contract Specialist

CEXEC, Inc. is seeking a sharp-minded, responsive self-starter as Principal Contract Specialist to support our long-time customers at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This is an opportunity for the right person to "ramp up" their career in a high-profile, quality-matters position! You will be a relied upon pivotal resource who will assist the FAA's Sr. Level Contracting staff with pre-award through post-award Contracting activities. Your past FAA contracting experience will be important for success. Here's what you'll need to do to "wow" our customer:

Respond quickly and accurately to customer requests via email and verbal communications.

Be a self-starter and proactive in gathering information for various contract mods.

Provide informational accuracy in all documents and emails.

Build and retain excellent relationships with the other team members and vendors.

Have knowledge of both ERAM and ERAM2 contracts (historical knowledge is a plus!)

Know where to go and whom to ask for help or to obtain information (ie: PRISM help desk)

Be proficient in PRISM, Delphi, OBIWAN, OBIEE, and eDocs accounts.

Have a strong financial mindset for evaluating various funding/invoicing issues.

Use your Contracts background experience with the Acquisition Management System (AMS) or at least the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

Be highly competent in MS Excel, Word and other MS Office tools.

Anticipate and get ahead of various upcoming events (yes, be a mind-reader!)

Demonstrate your amazing communication skills (ie: verbal communications and accurate written email communications)

For the most part, you will be responsible for:

Creating Contract Mods and processing invoices for both FAA ERAM contracts

Providing closeout activities for various contracts within your FAA Division

Attending ERAM meetings with our clients, co-workers, and other support vendors

Providing OFDPS support

Providing weekly and monthly CEXEC reporting using MS Word

Reaching out to other FAA Vendors regarding Contracts Mods and/or issues

Performing other related contract actions as necessary

What you will need to qualify:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Law or related

10+ years of relevant experience working with or for the FAA.

FAA experience (pre-award documentation)

Certification in at least one of the following areas*:

Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Level 3

Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3

Project Management (PMP)

Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)

Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)

Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)

Industry Certification in Contract Management-Defense (ICCM-D)

Industry Certification in Contract Management-Federal (ICCM-F)

JD in Contract Law

*Or other contract related certification/licenses, deemed appropriate

Travel:

0 to 10% - Some periodic on-site client visits will be required to FAA HQ (10B) in Washington, DC, but 90% of this position is currently Work from Home.
