Head Cheerleader Coach - High School

General Statement of Duties

This vacancy is open until filled. Responsible for the supervision of cheering activities at the high school level.

Essential Duties

Responsible for the safety, conduct, and protection of cheerleaders at all events

Purchases and controls supplies, accessories, and uniforms

Orders fundraising/spirit boosting materials

Assists with planning and presentation of pep assemblies

Secures and distributes sports schedule to cheerleaders

Communicates with the administration on policies and approval of activities

Responsible for counseling and discipline of cheerleaders

Organizes and supervises cheerleader tryouts

Supervises fundraising activities for summer camp and other cheering activities

Organizes and supervises practice sessions

Maintains appropriate, required financial and scholastic records

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

A valid teaching license is preferred .

Leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with pupils, parents, teachers, and other administrators; to provide leadership and support and to create and encourage enthusiastic participation in cheerleading activities.
