We are currently seeking highly qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners specializing in child and adolescent care to join our team of over 50 clinicians and growing. The ideal candidate will be independently licensed in Maryland for at least 2 years, hold a valid DEA and CDS, and have an excellent professional standing. This role primarily involves telehealth with a requirement of being onsite 2 days per week at either one of our locations in Rockville or Frederick.
Our most common referrals are for Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD, although we also work with patients recovering from Bipolar Disorder and Substance Abuse. We find that PMHNPs with flexibility in treating various ages and diagnoses provide exceptional value to our clients.
Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is essential. Initial appointments are 60 minutes, while follow-up medication checks typically range from 15 to 20 minutes. A dedicated Medical Assistant assists with scheduling and prescription refills. While there is no formal on-call schedule, occasional support for distressed patients outside of regular hours may be necessary. Full-time productivity targets include 30+ patient hours per week, though outstanding part-time candidates will also be considered.
We seek a self-motivated professional capable of working independently. Support is available for individual and group case consultations as needed. Timely documentation and responsiveness to calls and emails are vital for excellent customer service. Candidates should possess a positive attitude and strong organizational skills.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Maryland
Registered with the State of Maryland (CDS) and DEA for prescription writing
Experience with Telepsychiatry required
Ability to work onsite 2 days per week Rockville or Frederick
Ability to become credentialed with Medicare and other payors
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a PMHNP in outpatient settings
Proficiency in assessing and managing medication for behavioral health disorders
Experience with children, adolescents, and adults
Strong clinical judgment, self-direction, and initiative
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
