• Review detailed design drawings in order to gain in-depth understanding of the overall scope of the project
• Prepare estimate of material and labour quantities and costs to assist with the preparation of preliminary budgets and detailed project cost plans
• Check and verify bill of quantities proposed by the subcontractor for accuracy and completeness
• Participate in discussions related to bills of quantity and project costs as required and assist with any dispute resolutions
• Assist in preparing detailed quantity and payment schedules as part of construction planning
• Carry out onsite visits to ascertain accuracy of estimations
• Review change requests to ascertain cost impact of changes to project scope and assist in cost revisions
• Incorporate validated changes to modify bill of quantity accordingly and inform all relevant parties in a timely manner
• Track and maintain bills of quantity and related documentation in an organised manner for ease of reference and retrieval
• Provide inputs to management reports on a periodic or adhoc basis as required
Requirements
• PMP or equivalent is essential
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience
• Must be PMP certified or equivalent certification
• Can work independently and in a team
• Can use FOCUS system (preferred)
• MS Office Literacy
• Must be willing to work in challenging environments and based on different sites
• Must be willing to report to sites when needed by line manager especially in months pre-handover
• Highly flexible and updated with market trends across Oman and the GCC
