how you will contribute

As product owner for the mobile talent app, you deliver powerful, mission-critical and best-in-class digital products with global scale. The successful candidate will be a highly-motivated professional with knowledge and experience in product development, business requirements gathering, integrations, APIs and scrum/agile development practices. (HR/Staffing Industry experience preferred). You have a passion for product development throughout its lifecycle, from how it is designed, developed and implemented and its subsequent adoption in partnership with other product teams.

The Product Owner is a key member of the App-one program who serves as the business and customer proxy responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders—including other POs and PMs—to define and prioritize stories in the team backlog and to streamline priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. This allows the team to effectively address the priorities of the roadmap initiatives.

about the the organization (Talent & Expertise Group in Global IT)

Randstad moves toward a more global operating company. To support our vision and strategy, we introduced the Talent & Expertise Group (TEG) within Global IT. TEG is the group of about 100 employees in Global IT, who work on various programs and projects. The functional day to day guidance of the TEG individual is managed with the program/project, TEG is the homebase. In TEG we take care about your personal growth, your HR, your Great Conversations and your training. TEG is organized by communities of practice. Each community is built upon a certain area of expertise. The global product owner role is part of the product ownership community of practice. Besides the HR function captured within the community of practice, it is also an inspiring place to be and to learn, engage, collaborate with peers in Randstad (local & global) within your specific area of expertise.

what you will be doing

Within the App-one program, we are pivoting our talent communication and engagement towards mobile, as their career advisor and enabler, and realizing the talent-facing side of digital staffing.

managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements

overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development

developing user stories

monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process

liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates

participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints

who will you work with

The app-one team consists of a product owner, tech lead, scrum master, developers and testers. Together you develop the future proof mobile talent journey for Randstad. You will report to global IT.

what you will bring

Your business acumen skills are well developed. You have been working with talent applications yourself or you have HR/Staffing Industry experience.

Next to that you bring;

mobile knowledge and experience

marketing Automation, collaboration Tools (JIRA & Confluence), Recruiting Platform/ ATS,

working knowledge of product development architecture

proficiency in the use of analytic tools

ability to prioritize effectively

excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles

excellent oral and written communication

ability to work with large teams in a matrix environment

understanding of design quality standards
