Assistant General Manager, Lakemoor

Objective:

As an Assistant Manager, you are detail-oriented, friendly, a team player, and an important part of the store's efficiency. Previous leadership experience will be key in this position. The Ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

3+ years of cannabis-related retail experience preferred

1+ years of Retail/Customer Service Management experience

Minimum of 21 years of age

Must pass any and all required background checks

Excellent leadership and communication skills

High School Diploma

Comfortable working on a computer and learning new systems

Proficient with documents, spreadsheets, and email

Requirements

Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.

Must complete State of Illinois fingerprinting and attestation forms as part of the mandatory State Badging procedure. This is required for all workers in our cannabis dispensary to ensure compliance with state regulations.

There is a $65 fingerprinting fee and a $100 badging fee required upfront, which are the responsibility of the applicant. These fees will be reimbursed by NOBO Illinois via a standard paycheck after 90 days of employment.

Tasks and Expectations

Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Be able to fill any role within the workflow if needed

Supervise activities of the NOBO staff in conjunction with the General Manager and other members of the management team

Have excellent organization and time management skills

Oversee execution and maintenance of all retail operations, including workforce management, inventory reconciliation, and technology solutions – Devices as well as POS and Cash Handling

Work with Compliance to ensure operations are to state regulations while making sure all diversion/theft/loss prevention security policies and practices are being followed

Foster positive and productive relationships with key regulators, inspectors, and law enforcement personnel.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively

Improving metrics through customer experience leadership

Manage, supervise, and direct the activities of the provisioning center and team

Provides consistent developmental feedback that empowers and motivates our team and fosters a team environment by using effective communication skills

Address issues that arise from employees or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.)

Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff

Ensure the provisioning center remains compliant with security, inventory, and local and state regulations

Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits, etc.

Maintain a consistent focus on customer loyalty and create engaging and resonant customer experiences.

Propose innovative ideas to increase market share

Manage financial records and cash handling procedures

Provide education for staff about cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption mechanisms

Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge

Manage and inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service

Collaborate with the General Manager in conducting performance reviews, training needs, and career development

Maintain outstanding store conditions to ensure that store appearance is in line with corporate standards.

Assist and support all managers when needed

Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Management Team

Physical Demands

The Assistant Manager regularly works evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of our facility. Successful performance of this role requires that the incumbent is physically able to move freely between different parts of the store, lift up to 50 pounds and spend several hours a day viewing a computer screen. This position is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
