We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Collector to join our RVA/Bon Air client's team. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical billing, coding, and terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze patient accounts for accuracy
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials
- Ensure compliance with billing regulations and guidelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Utilize medical coding systems such as ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG
- Collaborate with the medical office staff to address billing issues
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medical billing or collections
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding systems
- Knowledge of insurance claim procedures and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Nice-to-have Skills:
