A Day in the Life of:
As a member of our Summer Camp team, provide medical care to campers and staff during the course of the summer camp program at Camp Baker. This is a seasonal position for an individual who will serve as the Camp Health Care Manager. This is an 11-week position.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Reviews campers' health histories and physicals, discussing any important information with Director of Camp Services and staff.
Performs the completion of a brief physical screening of staff within 24 hours of their arrival.
Oversees the administration of all medications and treatments.
Oversees the medication check-in and check-out.
Immediately reports medication errors.
Maintains accurate documentation to include MAR's, Medication Error Reports, Illness/Health Status Reports, and other documentation as designated by the Director of Camp Services.
Oversees/provides medical and/or first aid treatment to include contacting emergency services when needed.
Documents and/or reviews documentation related to any first aid treatment performed by other staff.
Educates all staff in the timely and accurate reporting of incidents/injuries and situations that may prove unsafe to the health and welfare of the campers; provides training for staff in health and safety procedures.
Conducts pre-camp counselor training modules to include Precautionary Measures.
Ensures completion of camper body checks and health screening upon check-in.
Ensures the safe and appropriate feeding of campers with g-tubes, feeding positioning issues, risky swallowing and any other feeding protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications:
LPN who meets all qualifications of the American Camp Association (ACA).
Experience with persons with disabilities or other rehabilitation background preferred.
Previous background working in a camp environment preferred.
