Medical Receptionist - High Risk Pregnancy

Job Description

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to play a crucial role in facilitating our patient's experience within our office. This will include check-in/check-out, collecting payments, scheduling, processing referrals and communicating with referring offices.

The High Risk Pregnancy Center of Kansas City is a privately owned Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist with referrals from 17 counties throughout Kansas and Missouri.

Patients and obstetrical providers rely on our office to treat expecting mothers who have pre-existing medical conditions prior to pregnancy and care for the health of the fetus through the performance of ultrasounds.

Duties and Responsibilities

Processing referrals and scheduling with appropriate indications and protocols

Provide explanation and collect payments

Professional verbal and writing communication with patients, staff and referring offices

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED

At least one year of relevant experience and/or training in a medical office

A welcoming, friendly personality with customer service orientation

Ability to utilize critical thinking while multi-tasking and collaborating with patients, providers, staff, and referring offices.
