Project Director - (2694)
Location: Vienna, VA
The role of the Project Director is an important role for our client. Project Directors are ambassadors for the community representing our client and are leaders within their firm. The following describes the variety of functions that the Project Director will undertake on a day-to-day basis.
You will:
Guide, develop, and support team members
Consign tasks to various teams and oversee project implementation and completion
Formulate weekly work plans, draw mini-sets, and supervise members of the project team
Provide swift and strategic direction during project direction changes.
Develop and monitor project expenditure
Evaluate drawings, zoning, contract documents, and construction-related drawings
Decide the best approach with various types of drawing required throughout the project ex: CADD vs hand drawing
Develop, evaluate, and negotiate contracts
Establish relationships with clients and address client concerns
You have:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture
10 Year Minimum practicing Architecture w. prior PM experience
Licensed Architect or R certified in areas of specialization
LEED AP Accreditation
Knowledge in Sustainable Design
NCARB recommended
Proficiency in REVIT
Knowledge of project production on CADD
Development of concepts through DD stage to follow concept intent then continue in DC and construction
Ability to mentor team members in Design
Jurisdictional Process (knowledge in zoning and building permits)
Project contracting/development types – Bid, GMP, Cost Plus, Design/Build and how each process can affect set of documents produced
Knowledge of building costs and system costs
Desire to learn new products and systems and be able to evaluate them.
