The Allen Law Firm, a leader in protecting the injured for generations, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource department to include recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding, training and development, administration of benefits and leave, and supporting staff with interpreting and complying with organizational policies and practices. This position will also be responsible to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and manage confidential employee files in our system of record. The HR Generalist will also act as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics.

Role Responsibilities:

Leads full cycle recruitment following the recruitment process from posting through screening, interviews and offer. Facilitates the hiring process of qualified job applicants for open positions and collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

Plans onboarding strategies and performs new employees' orientation.

Reviews, tracks, and documents and assists with delivering employee training programs.

Implements employee engagement and/or retention programs, including drafting communication and events for staff.

Facilitates employee offboarding activities.

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition and morale; and training and development.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of HR.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations as needed.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

Three to six years of previous experience in Human Resources

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite

SHRM-CP certification preferred
