CNC Machinist/General Operator Copper Department

The ideal candidate should have a steady work history that shows commitment, quality, and reliability to their work. You will report on time to your team leader for your daily duties and will work with your team to ensure that the production goals are reached. You must have the ability to work to a high standard of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions

Reporting to the shift lead, the ideal candidate will operate EHRT automated Punch & Bender machines to produce products for the Copper production line. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, quality conscious, and have the ability to work proactively with little supervision. You will need to be a creative problem solver who

· Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.

· Operate various types of CNC machines (to include EHRT Punch and EHRT Bender) through significant training from the department supervision team.

· Use of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure quality standards

· Follow diagrams or work orders as provided by supervision

· Read/interpret blueprints and make minor adjustments as necessary

· Remove burrs or smooth finish using trimming tools as part of a comprehensive QC process

· Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures.

· Must work efficiently while keeping safety, quality and production standards in mind at all times.

· To promote a team-oriented atmosphere at all times.

Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven track record of quality work as a CNC Machinist

Experience with job related, on-the-spot quality inspection

Ability to pay close attention to detail

Capable of lifting 35-50 lbs. on a regular basis

Experience operating Copper fabrication machinery preferred

Ability to pass a work assessment

Physical / ADA Requirements

Due to the nature of our work, Team Members may be required to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis, carry objects over distance, bend/twist, squat, climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time, use tools requiring manual dexterity, and may be required to operate powered industrial equipment.Company Description
