PCB Designer

PCB Designer (12-18 month contract with possibility of direct-hire conversion after the contract period) Location: Huntsville, AL 35806 area (Hybrid is acceptable). Job Description Client is seeking a PCB Designer with PADS software experience.

The selected individual will collaborate with other test engineers and subject matter experts to design and develop design schematics and PCB layout of test circuits.

Experience using standard EDA tools and techniques is required.

Desired experience: Using industry standard PCB design and layout tools for semiconductor test efforts according to program engineering requirements.

Hands on experience with formal problem solving and failure analysis tools and techniques at the piece-part/circuit board level a plus.

The individual will be diagnosing circuit board for issues, and make suggestions to fix issues and/or implement an approach to fix the issues.

Other responsibilities include fabricating boards, creating schematics on new boards and testing circuits.

This position will allow the candidate to gain knowledge of semiconductor physics, radiation effects on semiconductor devices to include knowledge of radiation effects (TID, ELDRS, SEE, etc.) and experience using radiation simulators.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience); - Experienced in printed circuit board (PCB) design, analysis, and schematic layout using industry standard EDA tools and techniques.

- PADS software experience.

- Experience with circuit board test, verification, and failure analysis tools and techniques at the piece-part/circuit board level - Experience in bench top testing and analysis of semiconductor devices and circuits a plus.

Education Requirements: AS/BS Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technologist with minimum 2-5 years’ experience (bachelor’s degree is a “plus”, not required). HS degree and 10 years of experience.

Security Requirements: Candidate must be a U.S.

Citizen and possess, or have the ability to possess and maintain a Secret Clearance.

A Clearance is not required to start this job.
