Job Overview:

As a Plant Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our mineral sands and mining plant. Your role is critical in ensuring efficient production, safety compliance, and optimal utilization of resources. Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Supervise and coordinate all plant activities, including production, maintenance, and safety protocols.

Monitor plant performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.

Production Planning:

Develop production schedules to meet volume, cost, and quality targets.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless production flow.

Safety and Compliance:

Implement safety procedures and ensure adherence to OSHA and industry regulations.

Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety awareness.

Resource Allocation:

Optimize resource allocation (personnel, equipment, materials) to maximize efficiency.

Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

Staff Leadership:

Lead and motivate a team of operators, technicians, and support staff.

Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.

Budget Management:

Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses related to plant operations.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify areas for process optimization and implement best practices.

Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mining, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in mineral sands, mining operations or asphalt operations preferred.

Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance practices, and safety protocols.
