COMPENSATION CONMENSURATE WITH SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Looking for DC professionals Levels I thru 4 Installation Technicians and Lead / Supervisors to work in Central Office Environments and Cell Sites, which includes but not limited to DC/AC Power Installation, Batteries, Power Plants, Cabling, Ironwork, Aux-Framing Build-Outs, etc. for various customer requested telecommunications projects.
Persons in this position will coordinate with Gemini Power Systems, Inc. engineering for office records updates, Power Specifications and assists in bidding preparations if required. This job should require limited assistance from the Gemini Power Systems Management and the Level 4 Installer/Supervisor is considered lead worker or “In Charge”
A Level 4 Installation Lead / Supervisor must have the proven experience in all aspects of the business. Person in this position will be in charge of subordinates with a lower-level index. Responsible for the start and completion of each project, must result in a quality, on time, profitable product that is presented to our customer.
A Technician at this level will be personally responsible for maintaining his/her respective certifications unless otherwise negotiated in an employment agreement and the overall safety of all subordinates.
Job requirements
Leads Must have a minimum of four to six years' telecommunications training and/or experience. Must have demonstrated proficiency and profitability at the Technician IV level.
Must possess a valid US Driver's License
High school or equivalent. Vocational / Technical / Business School desired.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion.
Good judgment.
Organizational skills.
Customer service skills.
Must have color vision and good hearing.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Vendor Specific Software.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
Supervises, trains, provides work direction and problem solving assistance for other workers.
Following and presenting an M.O.P. (Method of procedure)
Staging all the equipment and inventorying material for accuracy.
Supervising/Working with subordinates and monitoring their work ethics for efficiency, quality, and safety.
Supervise all starts, breaks, and stop times for each project and each crew
Responsible for the accuracy in the installation of AC and DC equipment installed per provided Engineering Specifications.
Tests for completeness of wiring, cabling, equipment, cable racking, etc. to ensure it is installed correctly
Responsible for the accuracy of all the final paperwork required and turned over to the customer and Gemini Power Systems, Inc. Engineering in a timely manner.
Completes quality assurance procedure and check the final product for errors
Ensure the safety, quality, and efficiencies of the crew.
Interfaces with customer contacts on projects and work orders per instructions from Gemini Power Systems, Inc. Engineering
Interfaces with the end user (contact person) and coordinates with other vendors for each project when required by customer.
Provides technical support for customer contacts and Technicians on request
Attends project planning and progress meetings with or without the customer contacts assigned
Understands, adheres to, and promotes the Environmental, Health & Safety policies of Gemini Power Systems, Inc.
Have the ability to coordinate and execute large transition and power jobs with minimal supervision
Work requirements:
Use hand tools and power tools as required for the job.
Walking, Prolonged standing, climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds
Heavy physical effort (usually lifting/moving up to 70 pounds) possibly up and down stairs.
Exposure to noisy or dusty conditions
Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards
Have a valid driver’s license.
Understanding that most of our work is done at night.
