Responsibilities

Who are you?

Virgin Pulse is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a motivated, self-starter who is excited to work for a dynamic, growing company and has a general background in accounting.

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:

Participate in key areas of monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting on general ledger and financial results

Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly across several subsidiaries

Perform monthly bank account reconciliations

Coordinate and assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

Assist in financial audits

Coordinate with HR to upload payroll files to general ledger

Demonstrates understanding of month end accruals and conducts expense analysis

Document and improve internal controls and processes

Support other accounting duties and projects as needed

Qualifications

Associate’s or higher-level degree in accounting required

Proficiency in Windows and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with Netsuite a plus
