Job Summary
The job responsibilities of an Electronics Assembler require great eyesight and hand/eye coordination. Manual dexterity with an attention to detail with are essential skills. This position also provides excellent customer service and clerical support to the manufacturing team. Excellent communication skills are required for work in a team environment.
Job Responsibilities
Hand placement of components on circuit board (thru-hole or surface mount)
Form parts according to specifications, using pliers, calipers, cutters, and forming tools
Read and understand electronic schematics, work orders and assembly instructions
Record data onto work orders or shop traveler
Inspect to detect malfunctions, and ensure conformance to specifications
Pack finished products for transport to storage area
Prepare or distribute materials/parts to work stations
File/store records, electronic components, finished products
IPC J-STD Soldering or equivalent
IPC 620 cable, connector, wire subassemblies or equivalent
Test assemblies, parts, and circuits for operational defects, and records results
Repair, or touch-up circuit board
Education and Experience
Required Education: HS Diploma/GED
Electronic Assembly experience preferred, not required
Qualifications
Excellent attention to detail and follow through
Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills
Strong mathematic and reading comprehension skills
ISO Class III certification preferred, but not required
Disciplined self-starter, organized, team-player and cross-culturally adaptive
Excellent communication skills
High Level of Professionalism
Focused on continuous education and improvement
