LOCATION - Project Sites in the Midwest
Per-Diem (lodging, meals & incidentals) will be provided for qualified candidates willing to travel and work on site.
ABOUT THE JOB
Tepa's Construction Division is looking for a Superintendent to join the Midwest team. The Superintendent is responsible for project execution, safety, and quality throughout preconstruction, construction, and close-out activities. Vertical construction experience necessary and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers experience is a plus.
PRE-CONSTRUCTION
Reviews plans and specifications (general familiarization).
Conducts pre-construction/safety meeting with Project Manager
Implements and manages the Four Point Quality Control Plan
Conducts owner pre-construction meeting
Initiates and coordinates mobilization of equipment and personnel
Finalizes the schedule with Project Manager
CONSTRUCTION
Establishes and verifies quality control program
Establishes and maintains safety program
Conducts daily inspections
Monitors daily task schedule
Oversees subcontractor labor force
Conducts weekly meetings
Schedules and coordinates inspections and testing
Indoctrinates all new employees and visitors to the site
Maintains all required documentation and correspondence between client/main office/subcontractor
Maintains all daily/weekly logs and inspection sheets
Uploads daily/weekly logs and inspection sheets to electronic project file
Maintains meeting minutes
Executes and monitors project safety plan
CONSTRUCTION CLOSE-OUT
Schedules and coordinates punch list work.
Coordinates the timely completion of as-builts
Reviews and hand-delivers close-out documents to Project Manager
Closes all site files, notes, and documentation
Boxes and labels site files, notes, and documentation by job number, contract name, field file
Initiates and coordinates demobilization of equipment and personnel
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
5 years as the head or lead superintendent on a project of $10M+
Previous experience working on US Federal Projects (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, or similar)
Procedural knowledge of construction trades Design-Build Delivery Method.
Intermediate proficiency in ProCore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Word and Excel
Some college coursework towards a construction degree is preferred, but not required.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
Fluent in the English language
Pass security clearance check by the Air Force
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Completed OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health training within the last 5 years
Attendance at a professionally accredited QC management course (e.g. conducted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or Naval Facility Engineering Command, including a current certification within the last five years).
