Diesel Mechanic

Condustrial, Inc. is now hiring for experienced diesel mechanics to join us in Columbia, SC

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair in accordance with factory standards.

Communicates with service advisor if additional work is needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.

Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.

Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.

Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.

Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

3+ years of relevant training/experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- preferred but not required

Paccar MX Certification

Cummins Engine Certification on ISB, ISC & ISX 2150 through 2350

Heating and Air Conditioning Certification for Commercial Truck

Manual Drive Train and Axle Certification for Auto/Light Truck

Brakes Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck

Drive Train Certification for Eaton and Meritor

State Emission Certification

State Vehicle Inspector Certification

Valid Driver's License

All applicants who accept employment will be required to complete a pre-employment drug/BG/MVR screen.

COMPENSATION

(based on skill level and certifications) $50,000 - $100,000 per year (salary plus benefits)

Shift: Hours are staggered into 8 hour shifts (6:00a-3:00p, 7:00a-4:00p, 8:00a-5:00p, 9:00a-6:00p) Flexibility required, but shifts end at 6pm daily.
