Petroplan is recruiting a seasoned professional to join our clients' IT PMO pillar in Virginia for the role of IT Sourcing & Contracts Specialist.

This role involves the establishment of sourcing objectives and service level standards, negotiation and administration of contracts, and the analysis of price proposals to optimize the procurement of third-party IT goods and services on behalf of our LNG client.

Key Responsibilities:

Define negotiation terms for the procurement of IT goods, services, and supplies.

Establish sourcing objectives and service level standards.

Lead negotiations for terms and conditions with limited Legal support.

Apply sourcing best practices to efficiently lead initiative and project teams.

Aid stakeholders in the development of scope of work.

Negotiate and administer contracts with IT suppliers, vendors, and representatives.

Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices.

Evaluate vendors' capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.

Conduct research on suppliers to ensure adherence to organizational standards.

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, addressing inefficiencies and deviations.

Monitor supplier performance and contract activity to identify areas for cost savings and improvement.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree from a reputable institute, MBA preferred.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management experience in the energy industry; experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly desirable, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years' experience.

Strong sourcing knowledge within the Information Technology function, including on-premise and cloud technology.

Ability to work independently in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple countries.

Strategic thinking with the ability to define priorities independently.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and achieve optimal results.

Knowledge and exposure to Indirect categories, cost reduction, sourcing, best practice RFQ's, and negotiation processes.

Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Coupa highly preferred.

Direct experience analyzing Total Cost of Ownership of IT applications and services.

Experience driving initiatives for indirect categories to enhance productivity.

Strong program management skills, including change management.

Periodic engagement with stakeholders to define and adapt strategy based on changing business needs and expectations.
