ICT Design Engineer

Temporary assignment - 6 months. Immediate start.

Potential to transition to full time.

Job Summary

Support the design and specification of infrastructure systems relating to networks, building communication, audio visual and security.

Work closely with architect, mechanical and electrical engineers to define spaces and outline necessary systems to support the overall low voltage system design

Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters

Research design options, code issues and ask general questions of code officials and document findings for Project Designer/Engineer

Ensure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards

Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for low voltage systems as required.

Qualifications

7+ years of directly related project design experience

Ability to read and understand architectural and MEP drawings and specifications

Revit expertise essential. AutoCAD / Bluebeam experience

Understanding of telecommunications structured cabling systems, CATV, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm and paging systems preferred

Experience in structure cabling applications and code standards preferred

Security/audio visual experience a plus
