Senior System Administrator

We're seeking a Windows Server Administrator who's not just tech-savvy, but a true master of the server domain. You'll be responsible for managing our critical Windows infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations, optimal performance, and robust security.

Responsibilities:

Windows Server mastery: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019), including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and file servers.

Virtualization virtuoso: Deploy, manage, and optimize virtual machines using VMware or Hyper-V, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high availability.

Storage architect: Design, implement, and maintain robust storage solutions, including SANs, NAS, and storage tiering technologies.

Backup and recovery champion: Implement and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plans to protect our critical data.

Security sentinel: Enforce security policies, monitor for threats, and respond to security incidents to keep our systems safe.

Automation advocate: Leverage automation tools like PowerShell and scripting languages to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.

Problem solver extraordinaire: Diagnose and resolve server and VM issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and disruptions.

Documentation dynamo: Maintain accurate and up-to-date server documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Team player: Collaborate effectively with IT colleagues and other departments to ensure optimal server operations.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Windows Server Administrator or similar role.

Strong understanding of Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and file servers.

Working knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V virtualization technologies.

Experience with storage technologies like SANs, NAS, and storage tiering.

Proven skills in backup and recovery solutions.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

MCSA or MCITP certification is a plus.
