Ring & DuChateau’s Commissioning department has an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Commissioning Provider in our Madison, WI office. Join our growing Commissioning Department and work closely with the Commissioning Department Co-Leads by developing, implementing, and coordinating quality assurance-based commissioning processes to meet owner’s project requirements. The Commissioning Provider will make decisions independently on commissioning problems and methods, by representing the organization to resolve important questions, and plan/coordinate one’s own work.

In this role you will:

1. Develop the overall Commissioning Plan which includes owner’s project requirements, basis of design documents, test reports, operations and maintenance documentation, owner training, and warranties.

2. Facilitate the usage of any required checklists or verification forms for compliance of proper installation for adequate accessibility for maintenance and component replacement or repair.

3. Author, schedule, and witness functional test documents that meets the project rigor.

4. Review the systems submittals. Observe the construction progress for compliance with the contract documents.

5. Conduct construction sites visits as necessary.

6. Assist as needed for System Start-Up and Testing.

7. Verify that systems training takes place as required by the commissioning specification and arranges further training as needed.

8. Review as-built drawings for accuracy with respect to the installed systems.

9. Recommend acceptance of system to owner.

10. Provide ongoing commissioning activities to ensure system performance is maintained, repeating the process as remodels or revisions occur and developing a database to assist in the rapid diagnosis of problems.

11. Review technical problems and procedures and works with commissioning team to develop system modifications and resolve problems after construction/installation.

12. Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

13. Understand project financials.

You will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, preferred.

• Ten plus years of experience in the design, installation and/or installation of healthcare, laboratory, commercial, educational, municipal, and industrial projects or construction engineering or similar engineering experiences, preferred.

• LEED accreditation preferred.

• Understanding of financial reports.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, with schedule deadlines.

• Ability to organize and plan efficiently.

• Intermediate/advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Proven client management experience.
