Job Overview

We are an established and rapidly growing company based in the Jacksonville region. Our expansion has reached a point where we require a Human Resources Business Partner to offer crucial support to our most valuable asset: our employees.

We are seeking an ideal candidate who can provide strategic guidance while also being hands-on in executing HR strategies and administration. Reporting to the COO, this role will play a key part in fostering a positive and productive workplace culture, while ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This is a hybrid role with approximately 50% of the time spent in the office and 50% working remotely from home. However, outstanding remote candidates will be considered (occasional travel would be required in that case).

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Planning:

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Lead the development of HR plans and programs to support organizational objectives and foster employee engagement and retention.

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process to attract and retain top talent. Develop innovative strategies for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates. Implement effective onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires. Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

Performance Management:

Develop and implement performance management processes to drive high performance and accountability across the organization. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance evaluations, goal setting, and performance improvement plans.

Employee Relations:

Serve as a trusted advisor and mediator to employees and managers on employee relations matters. Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture built on trust, respect, and open communication.

Training and Development:

Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities. Identify training needs and opportunities for employee growth and career development. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to mitigate risks and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and update policies and practices accordingly.

HR Administration:

Manage HR administration activities, including benefits administration, employee records management, and HRIS maintenance. Ensure accuracy and compliance in all HR-related transactions and processes. Other topics include 401(k), EEO Reporting, Unemployment Documentation Requests, and FMLA Requests.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree and/or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience.

Broad knowledge of HR practices including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, benefits, compensation, training, and organizational development

Excellent project management, organizing and planning skills, and a results orientation.

Demonstrated experience developing and executing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with proven experience ensuring compliance.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

Strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.

High level of integrity and professionalism.

Drives for results in a proactive, collaborative, accountable, and analytical manner.

Driver’s License

Nice to have: Experience in managing health and safety programs. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Must be able to visit our different locations in the Jacksonville region.
