POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Manager is responsible for servicing a designated book of business of client relationships for commercial lines (i.e., property and casualty), and financial lines (i.e., D&O/E&O Cyber). The Account Manager will help assess the risk management needs of prospects and clients and will market new and renewal accounts. An understanding of the insurance market along with building and maintaining strong relationships with our insurer partners is essential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for servicing a designated book of business/clients as relating to marketing, claims, and administration; follow all service protocols for the department Support Producers with onboarding of new clients and retaining existing clients.

Assess the risk management needs of prospects and clients and will market new and renewal accounts.

An understanding of the marketplace along with building and maintaining strong relationships with our insurer partners is essential.

Compliance with B. F. Saul Insurance policies and procedures manual; support quality assurance process

SPECIFIC TASKS:

Utilize system capability (AMS) and properly to maintain complete and accurate data and documents

Recommend potential enhancements to processes and/or current policies

Recommend coverage and/or policies we do not currently handle

Monitor status on open claims and communicate with the client during the claim process; escalate claim as appropriate to ensure client satisfaction

Assist team in developing service timelines

Develop renewal strategy material and coordinate with document design as appropriate

Request renewal information from the client and compare against expiring

Select insurers for underwriting submission; negotiate and follow up on quotes and do initial ; coverage analysis; develop renewal coverage specifications

Develop/present renewal proposal to client in coordination with Account Executive or Producer

Bind and invoice programs with insurers; review and submit to client

Facilitate premium financing

Follow up on policy/endorsement issuance and check policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy prior to client delivery

Complete Surplus Lines filing, if applicable

Issue Certificate of Insurance

Assist with premium payment, including client and insurer follow-ups

Participate and execute specific projects or additional job duties as assigned

Prepare claim reporting manuals or other similar documents at the direction of an Account Executive or Claims Advocate

Maintain privileged and confidential information

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or 3+ years of commensurate work experience related to the Insurance industry experience

Appropriate state licensing required

Insurance industry designations are preferred

Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Excel and PowerPoint
