Location: Memphis, TN
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000

Utilizing best-in-class resources and technology, you will roll up your sleeves and work in collaboration with a senior advisor to tackle complex financial, estate, and tax planning situations and deliver an experience to clients that is second to none.
Interested in more details? As a Associate Financial Advisor, you can expect to:
Work alongside a lead advisor to learn about our clients, processes, and value proposition
Prepare for and attend client meetings by running reports, creating financial plans (both initial and updated), utilizing Holistiplan and reviewing prior notes
Provide service to a subset of the lead advisor’s client base after introductions are made; service additional clients may be identified in the future
Demonstrate the ability to communicate with clients in terms that they understand, minimizing use of jargon or technical terminology
Participate and listen carefully in client and planning meetings and translate the discussions into a strategy for data collection and analysis to help drive financial planning efforts; calculate projections; Take notes in meetings, complete follow up, and correspond with clients
Interview clients about their attitudes, financial constraints, and goals; identify and clarify client needs; review statements provided by clients
Continuously stay in relationship with clients and understand their unique circumstances, connections, talents, interests, etc.
Field calls and prepare for review meetings (reviewing notes, updating plans, determining contributors/detractors to portfolio performance, etc.) for all lead advisor’s clients.
Meet with clients to review paperwork; ensure all required forms are completed accurately and answer client requests in an appropriate time frame
Support teammates in the financial planning process
Create personal financial statements
Conduct monthly/quarterly/ad hoc client reporting
Generate reports, such as position statements, for meetings with clients
Organize data
Conduct research as requested
Complete accurate financial plans in Right Capital and MoneyGuidePro; utilize Holistiplan as needed for tax planning needs
Perform complex analysis of planning strategies, risks, and opportunities in the areas of retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, cash flow planning, asset allocation, asset protection, etc.
Develop client deliverables and reports in a timely, accurate, and informative manner
Respond to client service needs throughout the year
Research new products and services that will enhance client relationships or fulfill clients’ short- and long-term financial needs; conduct research
Stay current on trends in the financial planning area; read trade journals, books, and other publications. A premium subscription to will be provided.
Recommend new or updated tools and resources to keep the firm on the cutting edge (e.g. regarding customer relationship management, trading models, etc.)
Draft letters as needed
Assist with workflow needs in the office:
Maintain updated client contact records using CRM software
Follow up on outstanding transactions with our custodian Commonwealth/NFS (e.g., transfers)
Maintain up-to-date and organized client files, making sure documents are in the correct folder on the shared hard drive and also uploaded and shared with clients in the client portal.
Qualifications for this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
CFP®, designations a bonus; pursuit of the CFP designation is a job requirement
Minimum of one year of experience as a financial planner in the financial services industry; experience working with Fidelity processes and forms a plus
Series 65 required
Strong understanding of financial planning concepts and terminology
Knowledge of mutual fund, stock, bond, insurance, and annuity products
Exposure to estate planning issues, tax loss harvesting and asset positioning

Proofread and quality check own work in accordance with firm criteria
Proactively relate internal concerns to lead advisor

Use resources available to answer questions and resolve problems (e.g., COMMunity Link, operations manual, office procedures, etc.)
Use multiple technology platforms (e.g., CRM system and Right Capital, etc.) Proficiency with computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word), Right Capital, Holistiplan and CRM
Prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Work independently
Keep lead advisor updated on all client information via Trello or email
Demonstrated job stability and career progression
Successful candidates will be supported in their career progression. For example, an Associate Financial Advisor who wants to become a Lead Financial Advisor will be provided with training and mentoring to help them move into a lead position. They will have opportunities to Senior Financial Advisor/Partner as they master increasing levels of responsibility in the organization.
